“I told God that if I could help just one person, I would feel like my childhood adversities were worth the suffering I endured. He has blessed me to help many and I am grateful.”
Dr. Washington is the first to conduct research on the impact of childhood trauma on higher education students. She is an educational advocate, author, mentor, and life coach. She openly shares her personal testimony of how she overcame deep sorrows and pain to triumph over trauma.
She has a true passion to see God’s people live the abundant life Jesus promised. In 2016, she began an organization called Tower of Hope Ministries to help survivors who experienced significant loss in childhood or adulthood.
Dr. Washington provides a step-by-step approach to the research knowledge and faith-based strategies program, Trauma Drama. She teaches survivors, regardless of the adversity, how to become overcomers.
Dr. Washington comes with a wealth of knowledge, experience and strategies to help believers overcome obstacles, heal hurt, find freedom and ultimately triumph over trauma and adversities. Her personal journey to freedom is an inspiration to all who hear it.
She earned a Doctorate of Education (Ed.D) and speaks to audiences to increase public awareness of the long-term consequences of childhood trauma. From her ashes, God gave her great beauty and used her pain to fulfill her purpose.
