I will keep on obeying your instructions forever and ever. I will walk in freedom, for I have devoted myself to your commandments.

Psalms 119:44‭-‬45 NLT

It’s a good thing to choose right when caught between good and bad. Sometimes we may catch ourselves bragging about how we didn’t allow ourselves to “go there” with a person when they crossed us. Sporadic choices to say no to temptation can make one feel pretty good.

However, it’s another thing when we commit, draw the line, or make “the decision” before quick decisions have to be made. This takes the wavering out. It’s saying before it happens I’ve already made up my mind I’m going to do what’s right in God’s sight.

Psalms 119:45 says, there is freedom when we choose to devote ourselves to God’s precepts.

The world says, doing whatever you want when you want, and how you want is freedom. We all know what the end of those kinds of choices looks like.

If we want true freedom, obedience can’t be an occasion or an act of convenience, but a commitment. Obedience is better than sacrifice. 1 Sam 15:22

Selah.

Get quiet. Let the Holy Spirit show you areas you oscillate in your obedience to Him. Agree Repent. Yield.
